The Secretariat

Co-Secretary Generals

My name is Salwa Naveed, and I am a senior at The Woodstock Academy. This is my first year of being a part of WAMUNC and I will your co-secretary general. During the year, I help out two-three days in a week at a local nursing home and in the summer, I volunteer at Day Kimball Hospital. Apart from volunteering and participating in Model UN, my favorite subjects in school are, English and History. In the future, I hope to learn more on the international diplomatic relations of the world.

My name is Alex Vaida and I’m a senior at the Woodstock Academy. This is my first year being a part of WAMUNC and I’m extremely excited and grateful to be your Secretary General! I just finished my first year participating in Model UN and plan to continue into the next school year as well, both in the classroom and at conferences ranging from Montreal, Canada to Boston, Massachusetts. Outside of being a dedicated Model UN delegate I actively participate in my school's athletic teams including field hockey, golf, as well as a variety of extracurriculars. Seeing as this is a learning conference I hope every delegate can become more comfortable in their debating abilities and to further develop their passion for Model UN. No matter what form our conference is held in this year I hope each delegate will step out of their comfort zone and most importantly have fun!

Director of Information

Hi! My name is Eli Werstler and I am very excited to be Director of Information in this year's Woodstock Academy MUN Conference. This is my first year contributing to the event, and it is my second year doing Model UN, in and outside of school. I am in my senior year here at Woodstock Academy, and I enjoy math, science, and STEM classes, along with Model UN of course. I play basketball for the school, and I ref soccer in the spring and fall. I am very much looking forward to meeting all of you and I hope to see you step out of your comfort zone and grow, and, most importantly, enjoy yourself!
